HOW IT WORKS
The Sustainable Mobility Hackathon focuses on developing innovative solutions and ideas to address four mobility challenges identified by key stakeholders. The event will last for 48 hours, during which participants will create PowerPoint presentations, short films, and technical developments showcasing their proposed solutions. The accepted solutions will need to be presented by the end of the event. To participate, follow these steps:
Individual Registration:You have the opportunity to register individually on our website from now until May 10th, 2023. Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive a confirmation email that will guide you on the next steps to take.
Inspiration and Team Matchmaking:We will be hosting two brief information meetings in the upcoming weeks, where you will have the opportunity to meet us and some of our partners. The challenges for the hackathon can be found directly on the Hackathon website. Even after registering, you can start thinking about potential solutions for these challenges.
For communication, updates, team building, and more, we will be using Slack. All registered participants will receive an invitation to join the Hackathon's Slack group, where you can exchange ideas with fellow participants, join a team or create a new one! We will provide more information about this soon.
Idea submission:
The final phase of the event will take place from May 11th to May 12th, 2023, and will be a highly intense period for all participants, including hackers, organizers, partners, and mentors. During these two days, you will have the opportunity to join new teams, work on new ideas, receive mentorship, brainstorm with sustainability, innovation, and transport experts, and further develop your idea.It is important to note that you must submit your preliminary idea (not final) on the Sustainability InnoCenter website (www.sustainabilityinnocenter.com). Additional information on where to submit your ideas and the evaluation criteria will be provided in the coming days.
Please note that your submission must include the following components:
a) Team Information: Your team should consist of at least two individuals. Please provide the names, backgrounds, and contact details for each member of your team.
b) Challenge Questions: Your submission must include answers to the 5 main questions related to the challenge you have chosen, as well as an explanation of the judgment criteria.
c) Short Film: Please include a short film that presents your idea. (if you participate digitally and a presentation if you are on place)

The final hacking/idea-making event will take place on May 11th and May 12th.
Prize ceremony: After the jury evaluates the submissions on May 12th, the event partners will give inspirational presentations. The top three winners will then be selected, and a prize ceremony will follow. The winning teams and entries will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Hackathon partners, receive advice on intellectual property rights on-site, and get guidance on developing their ideas further. In addition, they will receive some fantastic prizes.
Communication: A digital communication platform will be announced to registered members one month prior to the final Hackathon date. All communication with registered members, teams, Hackathon partners, and coordinators will take place on this platform.
